Are you wanting to add some creativity to your life or try something new? Being creative is a joyous counterbalance to life's stresses. I believe that we all have the potential to be creative and that making art can add an invaluable richness to your life.

When you arrive for a class, everything is all set up for you. I provide professional quality materials for you to use. You won't have to shlep your stuff or spend money on art supplies before you know if you'll like them. You'll also receive a handout with class information and techniques.

I understand how scary making art can be – whether it is your first time or not. My goal is to create an atmosphere of supportive, creative exploration where enjoying the process and trying new things is the focus. I will never criticize your work. If you get stuck, I will be happy to help you look at your work in a new way and offer any number of ideas you could choose from. I will never paint on your work and will happily demonstrate techniques as often as you need me to.

I have seen how uplifting and energizing art can be for many people regardless of level of experience. Any form of creativity is a self nourishing act – regardless of the result. It is in the making of artthe explorationthe trying of new ideas that lights us up. Art connects us to our child-like selves and helps us recapture that sense of freedom and play we had, before we learned to be self critical.

I enjoy sharing my passion for art and helping everyone express their own unique creative style. Give yourself the freedom to create, play, and fall in love with the colors, textures, and images that you enjoy. What greater gift for yourself than to do something that makes you happy?

*I have two indoor cats and wooden floors. People who described themselves as being mildly allergic to cats have had no problems. If you are allergic and want to come take a class, please email me, so I can put them in another room before class. If you are allergic, and prefer not to come to my house, please contact me to discuss other options.

"I really enjoyed the collage class I took with you in May. Just a lot of fun, information and getting over the feeling I am not artistic. I'm trying to find some way to be creative. . . to fill that need so I am trying different things. You made it very relaxed and enjoyable, especially to be in your charming home."
