Beginning Jewelry and Wire Wrapping
No jewelry experience required. See supply list below.
Have you collected fun beads, but haven't made anything with them? Do you have piece of jewelry you want to restring or maybe you want to redo a piece you have and add more pizzaz? In this beginning jewelry class you'll make your very own necklace or bracelet and a pair of earrings. I'll show you how to use the tools and how to compose your piece. Discover how to string one or two strand pieces and how to professionally finish them and attach hooks and clasps. You'll also learn how to make wire wrapped drops for pendants and earrings, and how to form perfect spirals.
Bring: Round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, jewelry snips, one clasp and a variety of beads. If you have extra, bring them, you may have time to make more.
Teacher will provide: Beading wire (for stringing necklace or bracelet), crimp beads, metal wire in several colors, a few beads to supplement yours, and findings to make one pair of earrings.
