This colorful jewel was painted on-site on a windy, cloudy day in the Skagit Valley, WA. The Tulip Festival is a long awaited spring event when the fields are transformed with bright swaths of color. In this painting I especially wanted to capture the dreamy feel of the color - such a joyful and unexpected note in the green landscape. We all need those special things that bring us quiet moments of joy through out our day. I wanted to share one of mine with you. Unframed and ready to hang. 7/8" deep.
