The sun was beginning to set and cast warm light all across these colorful buckets of summer flowers. I chose to paint this because it holds so many things that I love about summer - the warm golden light, the long evenings, the riot of color and the abundance of flowers. I often paint images that to me are like poetry- with a few colors and brushstrokes I can say everything. This joyful painting is so delightful.
