Painted from some of the last glorious fall flowers and foliage this fall. I went out into the garden and gathered dried hydrangea flowers, smoke bush leaves and hardy fuschia flowers. I placed them in an old ceramic crock to complete the still life. I wanted to emphasize the deliciousness and bittersweet feeling of these last hurrahs of nature before winter arrived. As I painted this near Thanksgiving, I named it Thankful Bouquet. We are blessed to live in a world with trees, plants and flowers.
Painted with museum quality materials this painting is unframed and ready to hang. The 7/8" deep edges are painted a deep brown.
Enjoy this celebration of Fall color!
