This glorious field of tulips had this lovely white barn right beside them as if it were a mother hen watching carefully over its chicks. I'm not sure why but the weathered farm buildings, field roads with this bright notes of color all put together just make my heart sing. Sort of like in a symphony when all the motifs are brought together in one fabulous crescendo. I painted this on-site on a windy, sunnyish day in the Skagit Valley. You might just feel the wind and sun on your face as you take in all the dancing spots red, orange and pink tulips. Framed in a 3/4" black, wood frame.
